Both the 2024 Atlas and the 2024 Telluride offer standard 18-inch alloy tires and all-season tires. While you can climb trim levels of both SUVs for 20-inch alloy wheels, you'll only find available all-terrain tires on the Telluride. LED head- and taillights are standard fare on the Atlas as well as poor weather lights to help improve visibility during severe rain or snowstorms. This feature isn't found on the Telluride and while it may offer standard LED projector headlights, LED taillights are only available on higher trim levels. Heated side mirrors and roof rails are standard on both models but only the Atlas offers standard rain-sensing windshield wipers. You'll have to pay extra for that feature on the Telluride.
While both the 2024 Atlas and the 2024 Telluride are three-row SUVs, you'll find a 7-seat configuration and 153.7 cubic feet of passenger volume inside the Atlas while the Telluride seats 8 or you can add optional captain's chairs and change the seating to 7. There's plenty of room for cargo inside both SUVs with the Telluride maxing out at 87 cubes and the Atlas at 96.6 cubic feet. The Atlas offers standard heated and ventilated front seats while you'll have to climb trim levels and pay more on the Telluride for those features. Both models offer available heated 2nd row seats as well as ambient lighting and leather seating surfaces. Staying connected in both the Atlas and the Telluride is a breeze with standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capability. Wireless charging is standard on the Atlas and available only on higher Telluride trims.
The 2024 Atlas packs a punch in the performance department with a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder that generates a mighty 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 Telluride boasts a naturally aspirated V6 and while this SUV makes 291 horsepower, it only produces 262 lb-ft of torque. You'll see better acceleration from the extra torque provided by the Atlas. Both models are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission but only the Atlas offers Tiptronic for faster gear changes and smoother acceleration. Front-wheel drive is standard fare on both the Atlas and the Telluride while all-wheel drive is available on both. You'll get up to 26 MPG on the highway behind the wheel of the Telluride but up to 27 highway MPG when you're in the Atlas.
