You'll find all-season tires and 17-inch alloy wheels standard on both the 2023 Tiguan and the 2023 CR-V. You can upgrade both SUVs to 18-inch wheels and while you can go up to 19 inches on the CR-V, the Tiguan can take you all the way up to 20-inch wheels for a more aggressive countenance. LED head- and taillights are standard fare on both vehicles but the available adaptive front lighting system and integrated light bar in the front grille are exclusive to the Tiguan. Poor Weather Lights are available on the Tiguan's higher trim levels for better visibility during inclement weather and heated washer nozzles are standard for the chilly winter mornings. These features are not available on the CR-V. Standard infotainment systems keep you connected in both the Tiguan and the CR-V, with standard Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and Bluetooth® for seamless audio streaming. Wireless charging, navigation, and premium audio systems are available on both the Tiguan and the CR-V.
The 2023 Tiguan boasts a 2.0-liter turbo engine under the hood that generates a potent 184 horsepower while the 2023 CR-V uses it's 4-cylinder turbocharged engine to produce 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The Tiguan offers 221 torque, however, which means better acceleration, especially right off the line. The Tiguan is mated to an 8-speed automatic while a CVT is paired to the CR-V.
